HANSEN’S GRAVEL RACE ROCKS!
Picture this: a cycling event where the toughest decision isn’t navigating the terrain, but choosing between ice cream, chocolate, or milkshakes.
Event recap, August 2024
Five airplanes in formation circle the bridge a few times. Beneath them, 800 riders in a master-start formation gaze up at the sky, wondering if the planes have anything to do with them or if it’s just a random coincidence. When the airplanes dive down and, in a spectacular flyby, release a vapor trail above the riders, there’s no doubt left; they’re part of a gravel race that’s truly out of the ordinary.
Hansen’s Gravel Race has become a celebration of social off-road riding. With feed zones offering ice cream along the route and a mandatory lunch stop featuring food, chocolate, and beverages, this gravel race is a one-of-a-kind event that combines physical challenge with stunning scenery and gourmet experiences.
GripGrab has been part of the event from the very start. Several Gripsters, including the founding brothers, Martin and Kristian, have participated in Hansen’s Gravel Race since its inception back in 2016. It’s a yearly highlight for many GripGrab employees and friends of the company.
„
Who said you can’t ride hard and snack harder?”
The GripGrab Media Crew plays a crucial role in amplifying the excitement of Hansen's Gravel Race. By capturing and sharing free action photos from the route, as well as atmospheric shots from the feed zones and finish line, the GripGrab Media Crew enables participants to share their triumphs with friends, family, and fellow cyclists. It’s a meaningful collaboration between Hansen’s Gravel Race and GripGrab—a partnership built on a shared love of cycling.
It’s all smiles at the finish line. Hansen’s Gravel Race is a glorious showcase of the modern-day cyclist—a species known for their love of lycra, gravel, and gourmet pit stops. Magic happens when you combine these three elements—and add a few airplanes.
